Who can participate?

Anyone aged 18+ can participate! We welcome:

  • Business & Marketing — Growth hackers, marketers, business developers
  • Students — University students with any background

No prior hackathon experience required. Solo participants welcome — we'll help you find a team!

How do teams work?

Teams should have 2-5 members. You can:

  1. Come as a team — Register together and skip matching
  2. Find teammates — Use our AI-powered Team Matching system to find complementary skills
  3. Join an existing team — Browse open teams looking for members

We recommend balanced teams with at least one developer, one designer, and one business-minded person.

Do I need to bring my own laptop?

Yes! Bring your laptop with charger. We recommend:

  • At least 8GB RAM (16GB+ preferred)
  • Full battery + charger
  • Development environment pre-installed (VS Code, Docker, etc.)
  • Power strip / extension cord (outlets may be limited)

Limited loaner laptops available upon request.

Who owns my code/IP?

You retain full ownership of everything you build!

EPIC does not claim any IP rights to projects created during the hackathon. Your code, ideas, and business are 100% yours.

Is it free to participate?

Yes, participation is completely free!

We cover all meals, venue costs, and provide free credits. You only need to arrange your own travel and accommodation if coming from outside Singapore.

Limited travel stipends available for international participants — apply during registration.

What if I can't make it after registering?

No worries! We offer full refunds up to 7 days before the event. Just email us and we'll process your cancellation quickly.

Spots are limited, so please register early if you're committed.

How are winners judged?

Judges evaluate on 4 criteria (each worth 25%):

  1. Innovation — How original and creative is your solution?
  2. Execution — How well-built and functional is the demo?
  3. Market Potential — Is there real demand? Can this become a business?
  4. Presentation — How compelling is your pitch and demo delivery?
